National U16 Championships
The U16 National Championships are open to all schools and clubs with junior teams. Novice teams are encouraged to enter in the early rounds held in November and December, with seeded and more experienced volleyball teams entering in the second round in February.
The Last 8s and Semi Finals will be held on Sunday 1st March 2020 and the Final is held alongside the Senior National Cup & Shield Finals which take place on 26th April 2020.

Venues & Format
Prelim, Round 1 & 2; round robin with minimal travel for competing teams
Last 8s; National Volleyball Centre, Kettering
Round 1; all abilities
Round 2; semi finalists from last years U15 & U16 competitions
Last 8s; winners from Round 2
Prelim, Round 1 & 2; it's the responsibility of the participating teams to officiate and provide officials
Last 8s; the Competitions Commission shall provide 1st referees and endeavour to provide 2nd referees. Where 2nd referees cannot be obtained, teams will be expected to officiate in neutral matches
-All teams must be affiliated to Volleyball England
-All teams and players must register through www.volleyzone.co.uk
-Schools or junior clubs may enter one or more teams in each competition
-Teams must be willing to HELP or HOST Round 1 or 2
-Teams will be notified ASAP after the entry deadline if they're required to host
-Teams withdrawing from the competition may be liable to a fine
-Individual Schools and Colleges must either be coached by a member of the P.E Staff from the school or college or by a qualified coach who is registered with Volleyball England. All coaching staff must be DBS checked
-Junior Clubs must be coached by a qualified coach who is registered with Volleyball England
Please be aware that rules may be amended by Volleyball England and the Competitions Commission each year. Please ensure all competitors and team staff are aware of the up to date rules. In qualifying rounds competing teams are expected to officiate matches between fellow competitors.
Please ensure that your team has completed an official team sheet before every round you compete in. If a player is not registered on the team sheet prior to play commencing they will not be allowed to play and may also not be eligible to play in later rounds.

An official U16 & U18 scoresheet should be completed for every match played. Please ensure all teams are familiar with the scoresheet and are able to complete one fully. In qualifying rounds competing teams are expected to officiate matches between fellow competitors.
